Conratulations Alfie & Lou

Alfie and Lou got married today!

They had a ceremony in the City and then everyone gathered for a big lunch at the Bondi Social - the same venue where Dave and I had our wedding reception four years ago.


Lyla got bored sitting at the table with all the adults,
so she crawled over to play with Alice, Eva and Sadie.

We all had a really great day.

It was a "Battle of the Blue Eyes" today
with Lyla and the Hayes' boys posing for Andrew's birthday photo.

And thank you Nanna Jenny for baking a delicious mango cheesecake.
Dadda gave some to Lyla ...

It was a beautiful afternoon so Lyla decided she'd check out how the plants were growing.

Everything seemed to be fine,

but she couldn't work out why there were so many empty pots?

Let's think seriously about this ...

Maybe Diesel's hiding all the plants?

Or maybe they're in the house?

Or Maybe I should just forget about the plants ...

and do some yoga instead.

She gets just as cranky as he does when her food doesn't arrive on time.
But when it does ...
Happiness returns to the Hayes' household
and it's time to get on with ...

the serious business of eating!

Happy Birth Day Baby Hayes

At 10.05am, on Sunday 12th February 2006, our baby girl was born in dramatic style on the lounge room floor of our Bondi apartment.

She weighed a healthy 4.08kg / 9 pounds, was 52cm long, and screamed louder than I thought possible for such a puffy little pink thing.

Dave and I had a feeling life would never be the same again ...
