When Granma's Visit

After a few days spent in hospital, I called in the help
of Lyla's loving Granma's.

Nanna Jenny and Lyla had so much fun rolling around the garden!

And palying with dirt and leaves.

Is there such a thing as TOO MUCH love from your Granma?

Rathmines Park

Last weekend we all went to the Lake
and spent a lovely time with Granma and Granpa.
They had a rest while the 3 of us went to the Park.

There were so many things to do and big girls to play with.

Lyla's proving to be very brave on all the big kid equipment -
I'm sure she has no idea how little she is!

The swings are still a favourite, as was the rocking horse.

I know it's getting late but do we really have to go home?

Dadda's Birthday!

Dave turned 37 last week! and we went to a party with all his friends.

My Poppy Car

Poppy Hayes gave Lyla a "Popcorn Push Car" for Christmas.

She was too little to use it back then,
but now its just the BEST THING EVER!
And provides hours of entertainment :)

Just for a change (!) Lyla was giving Diesel a cuddle the other afternoon,

when she heard someone at the front door.

The Sweetest Sound

Most people reading this post won't think it very exciting ... but ...

Yesterday was the first day Lyla slept for 2hrs SOLID in the middle of the day.

Believe me ... A BREAKTHROUGH!

There is nothing as sweet as the sound of a baby sleeping.

A picnic in the Park

A couple of weeks ago Sarah, Matthew and Felix
were getting ready to go back to Paris :(
To "celebrate" our last days together we had a picnic
with everybody at Rushcutters Bay Park.


Dave did his best to encourage the fashionista in Felix -
a quality already deeply instilled by his parents.

He seemed quite comfortable in Dave's designer Tsubi sunglasses.


Miss Paige was also completely at ease posing for the fashion shoot!


But Luka refused to be photographed at first ... TALK TO MY AGENT!


As always, Lyla's Granma and Nanna were in heaven,
spending a glorious day with their precious Granddaughter.

And Nanna Carol was a huge hit -
the bigger bubs barely giving her a moment to herself :)

Unfortunately the day had to come to an end.

Peas in a Pod

We had a Mothers Group / Birthday Party picnic the other week -
celebrating all the bubs turning one.


Lyla thought Dadda's beer tasted very funny!


But realised how well it went with a salty preztel or three.

When everyone else had gone home, and the sun was beginning to set,
Lyla had a giggle on the swings.


Definitely her favourite piece of equipment in the playground.


And even more fun when you share the ride with Dadda!

And Now it's Mumma's Birthday!

It was a grey old day on the 25th Feb,
but the view from the Hyatt was still beautiful.

Mum, Dad, Dave, Lyla and Nanna Jenny all shouted me
to a scrumptious birthday lunch.


As always, our little socialite had a fabulous afternoon.

Lyla's first Birthday party was full of so many generous friends
filling up her day with presents and love.
Nanna Jenny made a gorgeous giant frangipani cup cake for everyone to enjoy.

Lyla was especially blessed to have her GG (Great Granma)
all the way up from Canberra to share in her day


Lyla was pretty chuffed with her new swimming pool which all the kids enjoyed on this very hot Sunday afternoon.
